Day 1

Ok so I have been slacking BIG TIME on going to the gym and I decided that if I found something that would motivate me then I would go everyday. Well I have always wanted to run a marathon but I am not a runner. I have thalassemia and it makes it hard for me to run long distances, but it doesn't mean that I can't. So I have decided that I am going to finally run a marathon! Today was "Day 1" of training and my training is not going to be just running but a mixture of weight training, running, and different types of cardio(like spinning). Today I started with weight training. I have a great class I go to that really makes you push yourself to get stronger, it's called 24 lift and if you have a 24 hour fitness around you then you should check it out. Anyways, so my goal in the end is to run the Big D marathon in Dallas, which is April 10th, and in between now and "d-day", I am going to run the Austin Half Marathon on Valentines Day. Ok wish me luck and I will continue blogging on how it's going!

Girls Day!

Today, Brooklyn and I went to get our nails done. It was her first manicure and pedicure, yep I am getting her started early being high maintenance!

The place I took her is so kid friendly, they have kid sized chairs and a t.v. attached so they are entertained while they do their nails. Needless to say, she wants to go back everytime she comes to visit she told me......

Here she is watching Spongebob....mom is in the background getting a pedicure...

All finished....

Look how cute the flower is on her toes.....

Noah is 2!

Today my baby boy turned two! I am a little sad to see my last baby grow up but I was so happy to see him so excited about his birthday! We went to the Fort Worth Zoo, which I have to say is the best zoo we have ever been to, so clean and nice and cool even in the summertime. Anyways, Noah loves animals so we thought the zoo would be great for his birthday and he absolutely loved it! He said his favorite were the elephants, which ha wanted to ride sooo badly :) Here are some pictures that chronical our fun and exhausting day at the zoo.....

Will lost a tooth!

Ok so I am a little late posting this but a couple of weeks ago Will lost his first tooth! He was so excited about the tooth fairy, he woke up and found $3 under his pillow, which he is saving...if it were me I would spend it but I swear he is his Uncle Erik all over, he is going to save his money and the money he gets from all of his other teeth to get something "really cool."

FINALLY....

So I am FINALLY posting again!

This weekend was Michael's Birthday and Mother's Day and we had so much fun! On Friday, Michael played golf all day, which is his all time favorite thing to do.

Saturday, Will had a soccer game and during the game while going for the ball he pushed another player down then turned around and yelled, "Mom, I did what you told me too!" All of the other parents just stared at me like I was the worst mom ever! Will is not very aggressive and he lets the other team take the ball away so I simply told him to push them away if they try to take it......well that didn't turn out well. Anyways, Saturday night we went to the Round Rock Express game and had a blast! I have never seen someone devour cotton candy so fast, until I saw Will eat the whole thing in under a minute, it was pretty amazing.

Today, I slept in and woke up to breakfast and flowers, it was soo sweet! After that I went and got a pedicure and manicure and laid out by the pool while Michael cleaned the house and did laundry.....ahh I love Mother's Day!

Here are a few pictures from the baseball game.....

Ohhh and I got a new haircut....... What do you think???

Dancing with the Stars and Updates....

So Michael and I are into Dancing with the Stars this season and after last night we are making our predictions on who we think the winner will be. My choice is Shawn Johnson, I think she is so cute and has a lot of real talent. Michael's choice is Melissa, from the Bachelor. I really like her too and I think she is really good considering she only had 48 hours to practice, but I think Michael chose her because he has a crush on her....Anyways, we will see what happens!

So, this weekend was Will's first soccer game and he scored his first goal! We are so proud of him!
Look at how proud he looks......

Here are the little ones taking a bath after a looooong weekend of playing......

And here is Brooklyn in her Princess dress...........

So today I decided to skip work and take Michael and the kiddos to the UIL girls state tournament. Even though Salado lost, it was a great game and we had a lot of fun. Also, Brooklyn is down this weekend so I will post more pictures of this weekend on Sunday but here are a few....

Here is a few of Brooklyn, she looks so much like Michael.....

Ohh the pain!

So I am in a volleyball league in Austin which is pretty competitive and intense. We played last night and when I got home my big toe was throbbing, but I thought eventually it would subside. Later that night I was in sooo much pain that at 3 in the morning I was on the internet trying to figure out how to doctor myself because I refuse to go to the emergency room and pay a ridiculous co-pay.....so anyways I read that in order to stop the pain I would have to stick a needle in it, at that point it seemed like a good idea. So I will spare the details but I ended up sticking a sewing needle through my toe nail and to my surprise it worked and I went to sleep....although this morning my mom forced me to go get a tetanus shot and to my surprise the doctor agreed that I did the right thing. Sooo I saved myself some money and time thanks to WebMD.....
Anyways, as for the kids, they are doing great! My camera ran out of batteries and everytime I go to the store I always forget to buy some more sooo I haven't taken any pictures of them recently. Will has his first soccer practice tomorrow and he is so excited, he will be on the same team as last season and he told me he is going to be the best! As for Noah, he is putting words together into sentences and we are sooo impressed with our little genius! Hopefully, next time I am at the store I will remember batteries so that I can post pictures next time!

Getting ready for Valentine's Day.....

This week we are getting ready for Valentine's Day! So far we have decorated a shoe box that Will is taking to school to collect his valentine's from his classmates, made everyone in his class a valentine and dipped strawberries in chocolate, which got a little messy. Here are a few pictures from this week.....

Our First Blog

So we decided that everyone else is blogging so we should too! This will be our outlet to everyone as to what is going on in our lives without the phone calls, I am really terrible at keeping everyone up to date so I am hoping that I will be able to keep up with this!
So this weekend, Brooklyn is visiting and we are having a great time! Saturday we went shopping with Nana and Sunday is family day, which we will spend at the park playing, having a picnic, and riding the train. I love having all of the kids together, they are so good with each other and they really play well with each other...you know they say if you can handle three then anything above three is just the same, so maybe there will be more kids in the future. Although, Michael says he can't handle anymore children so in the meantime we will focus on little Molly Jane, our future niece!
